Seth has been well and at home this whole round so far! Praise God!
Thursday Bryan came with us to the Stollery for Seth's appointments. He had his PICC line dressing changed and then a PET scan again to see how the chemo is working on his cancer. I don't know when we will hear results of that as of now but they did say they wanted to do for sure 2 rounds of chemo and then see where we are at. His 3rd round is currently scheduled for next week Thursday Dec. 4. I'm assuming we will hear before then. It's all a blur of how long it took last time, everything felt like forever. I'm not sure if they can put a rush on things as well, so for now we wait and see if his current chemo plan changes.
Likely he will have chemo, radiation and surgery at some point. At the Oilers game Bryan was talking with another dad who's daughter had rhabdomyosarcoma. He was saying that they did a Proton Therapy in Florida just because her sarcoma (and maybe sarcoma in general?) kept coming back. By all means google it if you like, we have been told to stay away from Google and just ask the doctors our questions. We tend to gravitate to negative stories and they told us this is Seth's story and no one else's that you can compare it to. So if you want to google go ahead just please don't share your findings with us. We know God can heal and He is the one who guides the doctors and allows treatments to work, and that's all we need to know. ๐
This makes us thankful for our community. Our church community in Edmonton and area are putting on a Charity Hockey Tournament for our family. We know that even if we have expenses that make us have to travel for medical help that we won't have to go into debt because of it. We cannot PRAISE GOD enough for where he has led us in our life to make all this help possible. I cannot imagine going through this without our family, friends and community.
I'll share the Hockey Tournament links on the side if you want to come play or make a donation. Please know that your prayers are also enough, if given the choice of a million dollars and a million prayers we'd take the prayers without question. So if you are not financially able to help, just know we appreciate your prayers SO much and we do not underestimate the power of them!
Last night Bryan took both our boys to the Oiler Autograph Session at the mall. Seth even gave some Oilers an invite flyer to his Charity Hockey Tournament. Never know unless you ask right??๐
