Last night Seth got to go to the Oilers 'Hockey Fights Cancer' Game. Through the 'Kids With Cancer Society' he got 2 free tickets to a suite and got to meet the Oilers after the game (the players not playing came up to the suite to say hi). I haven't seen Seth smile this big since all this journey began so that was nice to see. This was the first Oiler game he's ever been too so to meet them was pretty special.
They also got to high five the team as they came out onto the ice. Seth took Bryan with him. As I was driving to pick up kids from catechism class my phone starting getting texts from a bunch of people and I thought 'oh Seth and Bryan must've made it on tv.'😁
Praise God for Seth feeling well enough to go and for keeping his energy up to enjoy the whole night!
 Liam is a boy that's always at the Stollery when we are there and Jasper is a young boy who we've seen there a couple times, him and Seth played some video games together when they shared a room. |

Ben Stelter, a beloved Edmonton Oilers fan and superfan, tragically passed away at the age of six after a courageous battle with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. His story became an inspiration to many, and he became known for his postgame victory phrase, "Play 'La Bamba,' baby!" His father, Mike Stelter, formed the Ben Stelter Foundation, aimed at providing magical experiences for children with cancer and supporting medical research. The Edmonton Oilers have also hosted events in Ben's honour.
